JOYFUL is a little rhythm, a little blues, a touch of jazz and the good news. . .

JOYFUL consists of five talented individuals whose musical history combines Gospel, Rhythm & Blues and Jazz. Leon Beal, Rodney Butler, Michael Harris, Eric Henderson & G. Randall Moore are JOYFUL. The group has performed in and around the New York/New England area for more than two decades. Some time after 1995 Leon Beal and G. Randall Moore were joined by three new members -- Michael Harris, Rodney Butler and Eric Henderson.

Originating as a Gospel Quartet, JOYFUL was one of the regular groups who performed at the HOuse of Blues for "The Gospel Brunch". While continuing to perform their unique style of Contemporary Gospel, they extended their

number and repertoire to include R&B. This has allowed them to also perform successfully as a Show Band for a number of years. JOYFUL has been included in many of the "Old School" shows brought to Boston. Some at the Strand Theater and others at the Berklee Performance Center. Many smaller venues as well as a variety of Television and Radio programs are included in their performance history.

To date, the Group has one album to their credit entitled "All Is Never Lost". Work is now in progress to complete final tracks on a new CD which is untitled at this time. In each song and every recording, the quintet demonstrates their love for the art of music. Combining contemporary rhythms, positive song and uplifting harmonies continues to serve them well.
